DENISON - On Thursday, January 7, 2010, Gradie Lea Hairrel Durbin joined her parents, Joseph Soloman and Edna Simms Hairrell; her husband, Alfred Joseph Durbin Jr.; one son, Robert Martin Durbin; one grandson, William Shane Smith; one great-granddaughter, Hannah Marie Durbin; three sisters, Ollie M. Hairrel, Mattie J. Hairrel and Gladys M. Hairrel; two brothers, Troy N. Hairrel and Joe L. Hairrel of Atoka, Oklahoma; one nephew, Rufus Hairrel; and one niece, Betty Sue Anderson in death.
She is survived by two children, Hairrel Alfred Durbin Sr. and his wife, Pat, of Farmersville; and Judith Ann Irby and her husband, Richard, of Denison; one granddaughter, Shannon DeShawn Krueger and her husband, Tommy; three grandsons, Hairrel Alfred Durbin "Bud" Jr. and his wife, Kathleen; Stephen Wayne Durbin'; and Lawrence Dale Durbin and his wife, Elizabeth; nine great-grandchildren, Jamie Lynnette Stephens, Ashley DeShawn Miskell, Joseph Kyle Durbin, Lacie Dianne Durbin, T.J. Krueger, Julie Annette Durbin, Marshall Grady Durbin, Jordan LeAnn Durbin and Riley Dale Durbin; one great-great-granddaughter, Emorie DeShawn Miskell and numerous other family members and friends.
Mrs. Durbin was a member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Denison.
Mrs. Durbin lived to be 90 years of age. She was born in Atoka, Oklahoma and had lived in the Denison area most of her adult life.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Durbin were grandsons, Hairrel Alfred "Bud" Durbin Jr. and Lawrence Dale Durbin, both of Farmersville; grandson-in-law, Tommy Krueger of Valley View; and great-grandsons, Joseph Kyle Durbin of Farmersville; T.J. Krueger of Valley View; and Marshall Grady Durbin of Melissa. Honorary pallbearer was grandson, Stephen Wayne Durbin of Melissa.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison. Graveside services were held on Monday monring, January 11, 2010 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, between Denison and Sherman on Texoma Parkway.  Officiating was Rev. Rusty Denny of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
