Established 1948   Betty N. Dodson 13 October 1945 - 22 June 2017  Bonham - Graveside services for Betty Naomi Dodson, 81, of Denison, formerly of Bonham, were held Monday morning, June 26, 2017 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Bro. Jim Branscum officiated. Ms. Dodson passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Betty was born October 13, 1935 in Ladonia, Texas, daughter of John Henry and Elsie Marie Holloway Watson. Betty received her schooling in Bonham where she was a majorette and her nursing schooling at Grayson College. She worked as a medical assistant with doctors in Bonham, Sherman, and Denison, Texas, and California. She retired as a shoe store manager. Betty was a strong, loving, independent, out-spoken, hard-working woman who was a loyal friend to many. Betty was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Elvis. She was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Denison. She leaves behind grandsons, Bascom Reagan Wilson and wife, Meghan; and Bailey Richard Wilson; great-granddaughter, Lucy Wilson of Mckinney; and daughter-in-law, Reba Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy Richard Wilson and Bobby D. Dodson; son, Bobby Ray Wilson; sister, Ann McLaughlin; and brother-in-law, Mike, of Edinburg, Texas.
