J.W. Dickey, a resident of Denison for more than 50 years, died at an early hour Wednesday morning, shortly after 5 o'clock.  He was a member of the First Christian Church and had served as an officer in some capacity for the greater part of his church life.  He was a life-member as an elder, being chosen some time back as elder-emeritus.  Funeral services were at Bratcher Funeral Home at 10:30 Friday with burial at Cedarlawn.
Surviving are his widow; and two daughters, Miss Biffie Dickey of Denison and Mrs. B.Z. Hughes of San Antonio.T
The family home for the past 40 years has been at 509 W. Hull.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Dickey, widow of the late railroad engineer of the Katy, were conducted Monday at the Bratcher funeral home, Rev. H.D. Morgan, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.  Services were at Bratcher funeral home with Bratcher directing.  The Dickey home has been for many years at 509 W. Hull Street.
Interment was at Cedarlawn cemetery, Bratcher in charge.
Mrs. Dickey was born in Cave City, Kentucky and had resided in Denison 59 years.  She and J.W. Dickey were married in Indiana on June 7, 1893.  He died last August 19.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Mistletoe division of the B. and L.E. auxiliary, and the Royal Neighbors.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Biffie Dickey of Denison, an employe of Madden's store; and Mrs. B.J. Hughes, San Antonio.
