Established 1948    Billy Joe Dismuke 22 December 1926 - 28 February 2014 Staff Sergeant US Air Force  The Herald Democrat Sherman - Billy Joe Dismuke, 87, long-time resident of Sherman, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at Homestead of Sherman. Memorial services were held Sunday afternoon, March 1, 2014 in Dannel Funeral Chapel. Pastor James Moore of Fairview Baptist Church and Arthur Horn of Four Rivers Outreach officiated. Billy was born December 22, 1926, son of Richard and Ida Dismuke. He served his country proudly, retiring from the United States Air Force. He was a resident of Sherman for over 40 years. Survivors are his children, Mark Dismuke of Mesa, Arizona; Kevin Dismuke of Ft. Worth, Texas; Richard Dismuke of Dallas, Texas; and Heather Wright of Porter, Texas; brother, Kenneth Dismuke of Denison; and dear friend, Cindy Clark of Sherman. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorial donations to Fairview Baptist Church or to Four Rivers Outreach, both in Sherman. Arrangements were under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
