Charles Wendell Dobbs, 77, entered into eternal life Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Baylor Healthcare in Dallas.
Mr. Dobbs was born January 28, 1941 in Denison, Texas, son of Luther and Bernice McDonald Dobbs.  He married the love of his life, Joy Kay, July 31, 1959 in Sherman.  Charles worked for Johns Manville for 20 years and then retired after 15 years with Johnson & Johnson.  He was a jack of  trades that loved his family and friends who he would do anything for them.
Mr. Dobbs leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Joy Dobbs, of Denison; daughter, Missy Frederick and husband, Father Justin, of Deniton, Texas; and their children, Katherine, Thea, Zoe and Franke; son, Tate Dobbs of Pottsboro, Texas and his children, Cooper and Madison; daughter-in-law, Cindy Dobbs and her children, Amanda and Megan; 3 great-grandchildren, Lyla, Ava and Adeline; sisters, Mary Coburn and husband, Ron, of Mansfield, Texas; and Judy Dumas of Denison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; and sister, Linda Williams.
Graveside services were held Wednesday morning, March 7, 2018 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. - - - Fisher Funeral Home



Joy Barbara Dobbs passed away peaceefully Tuesday, September 15, 2020.  
Joy is survived by her children: Tate Dobbs (Lanie Ramsey); and Missy Frederick (Fr. Justin Frederick); her beloved granddaughters, Amanda Butler (Cade); Megan Nobles (Tony); Madison and Cooper Dobbs; Katherine Thea; Zoe and Franke Frederick; great-grandchildren: Lyla, Ava and Tessa Butler; and Adeline and Lillian Nobles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Jewel Kay; her husband, Charles; and son, Michael Dobbs.
Joy was born January 8, 1941 in Sherman, Texas.  She was married to her childhood sweetheart and lifelong best friend, Charles, for 58 years.
Joy loved people, flowers, photos and traveling.  She loved her family and all the gatherings.  She also loved being a special education teacher's aide at Sam Houston Elementary School.  Joy loved life!
A graveside service was held at Cedarlawn Cemetery Friday afternoon, September 18, 2020 in Sherman, Texas.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas. - - - Fisher Funeral Home
