Edna Clark was born in Gunter, Texas on August 18, 1920, daughter of Wiley D. Brown and Josephine Latham Brown and passed from this life on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in Sherman, Texas.
Edna was a longtime resident of Sherman, working for Hardwicke-Etter during World War II in the early 1940s.  She married the love of her life, Paul Clark on December 19, 1941.  They were together over 55 years at Paul's death and were blessed with 2 children.  She worked as a homemaker, raising and nurturing their children until they were grown.  Edna began working for Robert Sanford & Taylor Warehouse Plant and packaged goods for 7-8 years.  Edna was living at the Renaissance and loved making quilts during her time there.  She had a cat named Tiger whom she dearly loved.  Edna enjoyed traveling with her good friend, Lois Miller, on many trips together.  She was a longtime member of East Sherman Baptist Church.
Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Latham and W.D. "Dub" Brown; sisters, Anita Dunlap, Katherine Clemons, Betty McDuffey, and Dorothy Harmon.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Paulette McDonald, of Sherman; son, Tommy Dale Clark; and friend, Ann Mahan, of Temple, Texas; sister, Totsy Francis and husband, John, of Mesquite, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services to celebrate Edna's life were held Friday afternoon at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Chapel of Memories mausoleum with Pastor Rob Shepherd officiating.
