Funeral services for Nathan B. Cagle, 71, of 409 E Sycamore St. were held Monday afternoon at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.  Mr. Cagle died Saturday afternoon at Lisbon VA Hopsital after an illness of one month.
He was born April 29, 1895 in Illinois, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Cagle and married Ms. Ila Mae Knight on May 11, 1956 in Sherman.  He had lived in Sherman more than 63 years and was employed for the past 18 years as an aircraft painter at Perrin Air Force Base.  He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the Wood Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Bill Farmer of Chryst, California; 2 step-sons, Jake McDonald of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Bennie Battles of San Francisco, California; one step-daughter, Mrs. Malcolm Lacy; 2 sisters, Mrs. B.M. Griggs of Ajio, Caifornia and Mrs. Elsie Dodson of Durant, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were members of the Blow Aircraft Painters Perrin Air Force Base.
