 Herald Democrat January 30, 2012 Dorothy D. Carlile, 87, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Bellbrook Cottage in Pottsboro. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, January 31, 2012, at Bratcher Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Branscum officiating. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman. Pallbearers were Rodney Campbell, Justin Campbell, Mike Byrd, Jeff Aday, Carson Coe and Paul Green. Dorothy was born June 10, 1924, in Cade, Oklahoma, daughter of William and Dillie Kelmer Ruth, and was one of 15 children.. She married William "Bill" Carlile in Denison,Texas. Bill preceded her in death on June 30, 1985. Dorothy was a member of Unity Baptist Missionary Baptist Church of Denison; attended Boswell High School, Boswell, Oklahoma; attended Sherman Beauty School in 1962 and received her beautician license. She owned and operated "The Beauty Box" for 40 years. She is survived by one son, Wayne Campbell of Huntsville, Arkansas; 2 daughters, Sue Byrd of Denison and Jean Campbell of Graham, North Carolina; one brother, Tommy Ruth of Kaufman; and one sister, Pauline Patterson of Mesquite; 7 grandchildren: Barry Coe and wife, Susan; Brenda Coble and husband, Chip; Beverly Kennedy and husband, Todd; Rodney Campbell and wife, Tara; Justin and Cheyenne Campbell; and 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded by husband, Bill; parents; brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to Unity Baptist Missionary Baptist Church, 1900 Woodlawn Blvd., Denison. Arrangements we re entrusted to Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard Denison.
