Our beloved mother Arlene Chance, 92, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in Denison, Texas.  
Mrs. Chance was born February 19, 1926 near Vici, Oklahoma, daughter of Elisha Scott and Belvia Ringo Arnold.  She was the third youngest of ten children and was made of tough Oklahoma "Dust Bowl" stock.  She was a survivor of the devastating 1947 tornado that destroyed most of Woodard, Oklahoma and shortly afterward, she met and married the love of her life, Daniel "Junior" Chance Jr. on September 2, 1948.  Arlene enjoyed many hobbies, including sewing, crochet, fishing, playing Bingo with her grandson Danny Fanshier and playing dominoes and cards with family and friends.  Dinner wasn't complete without a round of Spades or dominoes afterward.  She was a professional seamstress and over the years she sewed numerous cheerleading uniforms, choir gowns, baby clothes and wedding dresses. 
Mrs. Chance leaves behind her son, Eldon Laverne Crusha and wife, Linda, of Yukon, Oklahoma; daughter, Sherry Chance-Parrish and husband, Eric, of Denison; seven grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Loreta Arlene Eslin and 9 of her siblings.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Fisher Funeral Chapel.  Private interment was held at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart 2 Heart Hospice in Sherman, Texas or The American Diabetes Association.  Arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison - - - Fisher Funeral Home
