Established 1948   The Herald Democrat May 2, 2011 DENISON - Rita Locke "ReRe" Bowers, age 66, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Medical Center of Dallas. Graveside services were held Tuesday morning, May 3, 2011, at Cedarlawn Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Jim Brauscum. Mrs. Bowers was born March 6, 1945 in Tucson, Arizona, daughter of Eugene Francis and Vivian Lucille Fletcher Locke. She held various positions such as Demo Lady, Stocker and Door personnel while working at Sam's Club in Sherman. Formerly worked at Levi Strauss and Texas Instruments. Member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Survived by brothers Jackie Locke and David Locke, both of Ft. Worth; best friends Joe and Karen Taylor of Cedar Hill, Texas; Tom and Joanie Johnson of Denison, Texas; and all the staff and members of Sam's Club. A special thanks to all the Sam's Club employee's that were more like family than co-workers. RIta was preceded in death by her parents.
