Becky was born in Effingham, Illinois on December 22, 1939, daughter of Thomas and Gracial Walsworth.  Her father was a pipeliner - helping build oil pipelines across the country.  Because of this she had the distinction of attending about 40 different schools and living in about 46 states before graduating from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1957.  She started her career as a beautician, then as a teacher in a beauty school.
In 1959 her father and mother accepted Jesus Christ as Saviour and later that year her father led her to accept Jesus Christ as her own personal Saviour.  In 1961 she went to Dallas Bible College with her older brother, Tom, where she studied for 3 years.  While there she met and married her husband, Dale James Buchanan, on May 30, 1964.  She served as a pastor's wife in Louisiana, Missouri and Wisconsin over a period of 13 years.  God gave them 3 children during that time, Mary Jane, Dorothy, and Andrew.
In 1977 they moved to Sherman, Texas where she served on the staff of 2 different Christian schools, as a saleslady for 2 different businesses, and most importantly as a mother and housewife.
She experienced many severe health problems over the years, but remained positive, joyful and victorious over the problems.  She remained active over the years serving the Lord in churches along with her husband.  They were blessed to serve as members in Grayson Bible Baptist Church over the past 11 years.
Becky passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 after 4 days in the hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one granddaughter.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years; brother, Tom Walsworth and wife, Dee, of Guthrie, Oklahoma; daughters, Mary Jane Johnson of Sherman and Dorothy Buchanan of Garland; son, Andrew Buchanan and wife, Celfa, of Jefferson, Texas; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Private family burial was held Wednesday afternoon, October 18, 2017 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.  Memorial service was held Saturday morning, October 21, 2017 at Grayson Baptist Bible Church with Pastor Roy Webster officiating.
