Mary Lou Beasley, 92, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 26, 2023 in Denison, Texas.

She was born July 5, 1931 in Waco, Texas, daughter of Frank and Lucy Stapleton Short.  She graduated from Denison High School in 1948.
Mary Lou married the love of her life, James Fredrick Beasley, June 4, 1950 in Denison.  She loved the Lord and was an active member of the Parkside Baptist Church family where she was a member of the choir and taught Sunday school.
She worked at Citizens National Bank for 19 years before she retired.
She enjoyed church activities, cooking, and most of all spending time with family and friends.  Later in life, she and her twin sister, Martha Sue, enjoyed trips with the Pacesetters at Parkside.  Mary Lou will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind her beloved friends and family: son, Michael Beasley and wife, Wendy, of Denison, Texas; grandson, Charles Beasley and wife, Kim of Denison, Texas; granddaughter, Jennifer Waren of Denver, Colorado; great-grandchildren: Kamden Beasley, Landrie Beasley, Karah Haas and Abel Waren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Townsend; and many very special nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.  Her close friends, Betty Bateman, Joy Bass, Mary Keeton and Judy Fippin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Buddy" Beasley; daughter, Linda D. Beasley; granddaughter, Kristin Beasley; her parents; her twin sister, Martha Sue Roberts; and brother, Lloyd Short.
A graveside service was held Saturday morning, July 29, 2023 at Cedarlanw Memorial Park in Denison, Texas [sic] with Delbert Vest officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
