Lorenzo Blanton, affectionately known as "Renny" was born December 11, 1954 in Chockie, Oklahoma, son of Arthur and Johnnie Blanton.  Lorenzo grew up in Sherman, Texas.  He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.  He received his education in the Sherman public schools.  After school, he started his first job working alongside his father at the Sherman Foundry.  Lorenzo had a love for cars.  He started his first auto business and became a dedicated mechanic.  His skills he believed were a gift from God, some passed on by his father, and in the later years, self-taught.  While putting his mechanic gift to use, he also made lots of friends.  He loved playing a tune on his bass guitar as a part-time hobby.  He showed love and care for family friends, always willing to help others in need.
