Star Telegram January 16, 2008 Elva Boren, 93, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008 at an Arlington, Texas hospital. Elva was born in Lone Oak, Hunt Co., Texas and grew up in Sherman, Texas. She spent her adult years in Garland. Funeral services were held Thursday morning at Moore Funeral Home - Bowen Road Chapel. Interment followed Thursday afternoon in Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas. Elva was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" N. Boren; her parents, Elmer and Alpha Randall; and 9 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Pat Becker and husband, Jack, of Arlington; grandchildren, Jim and Devonna Hamilton of Garland; Sherri and Bruce Raven of Austin; and Rick and Sara Hamilton of Rogers, Arkansas; and 7 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of choice.
