Funeral services were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Sunday afternoon at 5:30 for Robert E. Bailey, Sr., 63, of 1700 S. Fannin, who died in the Katy hospital Friday night at 10:15 after three weeks of illness.  Rev. Dr. Bob N. Ramsay, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated and interment was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Bailey died just 3 hours before his sister, Mrs. Marjorie Goltra of Big Springs.  Mrs. Goltra's body was returned to Denison for burial Monday.
Mr. Bailey was a native of Denison, born January 1, 1893, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bailey.  He was married March 20, 1916 to Estelle Grace Jones.  He had worked for the Katy for 45 years as switchman and yardmaster and was serving as yardmaster when he became ill.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Robt. E. Bailey, Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Marcia Roddy, Dallas; two brothers, Jack Bailey of Tulsa and Raymond Bailey of Denison; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Head and Mrs. Louise Sharon, Tulsa; and 3 grandchildren.

Mrs. Marjorie Goltra, 56, of Big Spring, sister of Robert E. Bailey, Sr., who was buried here Sunday, died in Big Spring Saturday morning at 1 o'clock, just 3 hours after the death of her brother.  The body was brought to Denison and buried in Cedarlawn Memorial Park Monday afternoon following services in Bratcher-Moore chapel.  Dr. Bob N. Ramsay officiated at the service.
Mrs. Goltra had lived in Big Spring 4 years.  She was a native of Denison, born here December 19, 1899 and had moved away from here about 20 years ago.  She was married in Denison in 1922 to George Goltra.  She was a member of the Baptist church and the B of RT Auxiliary.
Survivors are her husband and two daughters, Mrs. G.C. Prince, Memphis, Tennessee; and Mrs. D.H. Lane, Ft. Worth; two brothers, Jack Bailey of Tulsa and Raymond Bailey of Denison; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Head and Mrs. Louise Sharon of Tulsa.
