Funeral service for Carl J. Brooks, 39, were held at Bratcher Chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Services were conducted by Rev. R.M. Williams and Harold Thurman.  Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Bratcher in charge.
Mr. Brooks, operator of the Brooks Brothers Service Station on Hwy. 75, north of Sherman, died at his home, 614 W. Crawford, Monday at 4 p.m., after one week of illness.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Frank Brooks and had lived in Denison 16 years.  He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served during the complete European campaigh.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Daisy Brooks, 614 W. Crawford; 2 brothers, Sybil Brooks of Denison; and W.M. Brown of Sherman; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Stanley Brown and Mrs. Ella Clark, Sherman; and Mrs. Tommy Looney, Denison.
