Curless Aldridge
1913 - 1997

Funeral services for Audrey Fae Aldridge, 96, of Sherman were held Friday afternoon, February 27, 2015 at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.  Rev. Jason Anderson of Trinity Baptist Church in Sherman officiated.  Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Audrey died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Beacon Hill Nursing Home in Denison, Texas.
She was born December 9, 1918 in Savoy, Texas, daughter of Johnny Calvin and Ida Lavonia Statzer Hutchins.  After graduating high school in 1936, she then attended the Beautician School in Dallas and later married Curless (Henry) Aldridge on June 22, 1940 in Sherman, Texas.
Audrey is survived by her 3 sons, Curless Aldridge of Denison; Johnny Aldridge and wife, Sheila, of Sherman; and Don Aldridge and wife, Pam, of Norman, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, Tina Mooneyham, Tony Aldridge and wife, Sandy; Robert Taylor; Mark Aldridge and wife, Katie; Mike Taylor; Travis Taylor; and Cody Aldridge; 3 great-grandchildren, Henry Aldridge; Matthew Mooneyham; and Joshua Mooneyham; and one great-great-grandchild, Ryder Mooneyham.  She is also survived by one brother, Lewis; 4 sisters, Katherine, Maryann, Ola Lee, and Francis; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 4 brothers, Elijah, Elbert, Otis and J.D.
Audrey was a devout Baptist all of her life and loved going to Trinity Baptist Church and was active in ceramics.  She created many beautiful pieces there and really enjoyed the blessing of the many friends she had there.  She and Daddy were also active on a bowling league.  Audrey was also close to her brothers and sisters and had many wonderful memories of "get togethers" over the years.  Later in life she and her sisters and her friend Bonita would get together every week for fellowship.  Audrey was a wonderful woman who loved her God and family.  She spent most of her time making our family life a truly wonderful experience and she was always excited when new members came into our family and was known as "MeMaw" by all the kids.  When times were bad she remained strong; she cared for and nourished Daddy during his bout with Alzheimers.
Audrey Fae Aldridge was loved by all and is now with her Lord and Saviour and the love of her life, Curless.  She is rejoicing and I know that she would want us to rejoice with her.
