Mrs. Vera Ollie Aday, 79, died Wednesday night in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were at the graveside in Cedarlawn Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Dale Gore officiating.  Pallbearers were grandsons.  Johnson-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Aday was born in Honey Grove June 11, 1904, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Melton.  She married Dean Lee Aday in 1928 in Denison.
She was a former restaurant cook.  She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Suvivors include 2 sons, Allen Vernon and David Leroy, both of Denison; 2 daughters, Mrs. James Layton of Borger and Mrs. Joann Minor of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; one brother, James Melton of Sherman; one sister, Mrs. J.E. Price of Sherman; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
