 January 22, 1954 pg. 2 SERVICES SET FOR SUNDAY FOR FRED MORGAN Gunter - Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in Gunter Baptist Church for Fred Morgan, 64, of Gunter, who died Wednesday night, January 27, 1954, in a Sherman hospital. He was a farmer. Rev. G.G. Burnett, pastor, Rev. David L. Lundin of Sedalia and Rev. L.E. Lee of Westminster, officiated. Burial was in Cannon Cemetery, directed by Fox-Fletcher Funeral Home of Van Alstyne. Mr. Morgan was born October 21, 1889, son of John William and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Young Morgan. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Weldon Morris of Long Beach, California; and 3 brothers, Jim Morgan of Sherman; Bob Morgan of Caddo, Oklahoma; and John Morgan of New Mexico.
