  D. T. Shaw 1862 - 8 December 1918  Thursday, January 31, 1935 Mrs. Dolly Shaw, 72 years old, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Sargent, at 1:30 Saturday following a brief illness with pneumonia. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the residence with the Rev. A. J. Starr of Denton officiating. Burial was in Cannon cemetery, directed by Yoder Funeral home. Mrs. Shaw was a native of Alabama having come to Van Alstyne to make her home 25 years ago. She was a member of the Cannon Methodist church. Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. Dovie Crawford and Mrs. C. W. Sargent of Van Alstyne, and Mrs. Daisy Grandberry of Dabber Springs; and three sons, C. F., Carl and Sam Shaw of Van Alstyne. Pallbearers were J. D. Shaw, Elmer Crawford, Dowell Crawford, John Granberry, Carl Shaw and Tollie Shaw, grandsons of the deceased.
