The editor is in receipt of 2 cards from Ed C. Miller, who is in Boston Massachusetts, to see his son receive a degree.  Mr. Miller told of being on the ground where the first battle of the Revolutionary War was fought, and also visited the location where the Puritans first landed and established a colony on the Charle River.

Van Alstyne - Services for Dr. Edward C. Miller, 94-year-old retired doctor of chiropractic medicine who died Saturday at a Sherman hospital, were held Tuesday at Flesher Funeral chapel.  Rev. Hugh Moody of the First Christian Church officiated.  Burial was in Cannon Cemetery.
Dr. Miller was born in the Cannon communiuty east of Van Alstyne, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Miller, married Ola Parish in 1906 in Van Alstyne and was a Baptist.  He was associated for many years with the Carver Chiropractic College of Denver, Colorado, and later founded the Detroit Chiropractic College, which he headed until after World War II.  He retired in 1950 and returnd to Van Alstyne.
Surviving are his wife, of Dallas; son, Thomas Miller of Grosse Pointe, Michigan; daughter, Mrs. Darline Moore of Dallas; sister, Mrs. Clyde Blanton of Oklahoma City; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
