JAKE MILLER DEAD
Jake Miller, one of the oldest and best known citizens of this community, died at the home of his son-in-law, John Alexander, 4 miles south of Whitewright on Friday, March 4, 1921.  The immediate cause of his death was heart failure and other complications.
Mr. Miller was 67 years of age at the time of his death and had resided in this community for 35 years.  For the past several years he had lived with his different children, having given up housekeeping at the death of his wife about 15 years ago.  For a number of years he was in the blacksmithing business and was highly regarded for his competency as a workiman and his business integrity.
His death will be the cause of genuine sorrow among a large circle of friends who knew and admired him in life.
The funeral was held on Monday afternoon, being conducted by Rev. R.J. Starr of Cannon.
Mr. Miller is survived by several children, some of whom live in this community, and others in Oklahoma and Colorado; and a number of other relatives to whom the sympathy of the entire community is extended.
