Mrs. Emma Garner Funeral Rites Held

Van Alstyne, Texas, Jan. 10 - Funeral services were held Monday at the Cannon Church for Mrs. Erma Garner, 62, who died of a heart attack Sunday at her home in Dallas. Burial was in the Cannon Cemetery.

Mrs. Garner was born at Van Alstyne and lived in Grayson County all her life until about a year ago.  She was a member of the Baptist church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. W.B. Minton, Mrs. Clyde Tiffany and Mrs. H.H. Tate, all of Dallas; five sons, Artie Shaw of Siloam Springs, Arl; Tollie Shaw of Dallas; L.B. Garner of Gunter; Frank Garner of Ardmore, Okla.; and Rufus Garner of Dallas; five sisters, Mrs. Alton R. Hill of Sherman; Mrs. Tina McAlister of Pampa; Mrs. Lester Hunter of Whitewright; Mrs. Bernice Murphy of Van Alstyne; and Miss Gertrude Mann of Sherman; and one brother, A.W. Mann of Pampa.
