MRS. SALLIE ALLEN
LAID TO REST AT CANNON THURSDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. S. Ethel Allen, 81, were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 in the Cannon Methodist Church. She passed away at her home on Klondike Road in Delta County Tuesday morning at three o'clock. Revs. C. Robnett and A. F. Daniels of Commerce conducted. Interment was in the Cannon Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen was born in Mississippi on Aug. 8, 1885, the daughter of the late Joseph and N__ Dickson Powell.
She is survived by her husband, G. C. Allen of Klondike; by daughters, Mrs. Minnie Ruth ___ of Electra, and Mrs. H. Evans of Lumberton, N.C.; three sons, Earl Allen of San ___, O.L. Allen of Fort Worth  and B.W. Allen of Wichita Falls and by nine grandchildren; by sisters, Mrs. A.R. Williams of Sherman, Mrs. W.A. Adams of Klondike, Mrs. W.W. Reeves of Howe and Mrs. R.L. Holland of Lockney; by five brothers, J. Powell of Cannon, R.L. Powell of Lockney, W.D. Powell of Taliquah, Okla., B.K. Powell of Longview and I.W. Powell of Gainesville.
