The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, October 7, 1900 pg. 4 LOCAL CONDENSATIONS Wednesday, October 3 - Mrs. George Metcalf, a most estimable lady, who has resided here since 1876, died last night. The deceased was 55 years of age at the time of her death. She was a most patient sufferer, having been confined to her bed for a period of 9 months. Mrs. Metcalf was born in Montreal, Canada. The deceased was laid to rest in Calvary cemtery, and there was a large number of mourners present to pay the last respects to one whom they had loved and admired so much in life.
