- Lorena Rene Patti, 76, went home to be with the Lord Monday,
September 8, 2008 at her home with her daughter by her side. Mrs. Pattie was born April 30, 1932 in Liberty, Oklahoma, daughter of Lloyd and Myrtle Mae Southard Carpenter. Lorena married Charles Patti, Sr. on August 27, 1968 in Sherman, Texas. Her daughter, Mae, was the light of her life. She was a loving and caring mother, sister and friend. Mrs. Patti is survived by her beloved daughter, Mae N. Patti of Denison, Texas; sisters, Alice Malaney, and Mary N. Allen, both of Denison, Texas; sisters-in-law, Jenny Bruno and Opal Patti, both of Denison, Texas; and Mary Rall of Kansas City, Missouri. Lorena was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charlies, parents and grandparents; sister, Mildred Stevenson; in-law, Martin Patti and Mary Patti; niece, Elizabeth Sundermier; and nephew, Larry Stevenson. Funeral services were held Friday morning, September 12, 2008 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jan Kelly officiating. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Coleman, Junior Sears, Guy "Sonny" Coleman; David Freeze; Mike Patti; and Jimmy Patti. Honorary pallbearers were Earnest Sinor, Clinton Little, Larry Skinner, Samuel Stevenson, Tommy Martinez, and Bufford Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Baylor University Medical Center, Lucy Burmett Gynecologic Oncology Indometrical Cancer Research for Uterian Cancer in Dallas, or Calvary Cemetery, Denison, Texas.
