 James M. Smith 23 November 1910 - 13 October 1955 Irene Smith 14 July 1908 - 2 January 1992 The Denison Press Friday, October 21, 1955 pg. 5 Funeral services for James M. Smith, 44, of Victoria, Texas were held at Bratcher-Moore chapel Tuesday morning with Father Henry Felderhoff, pastor of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, officiating. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Bratcher-Moore in charge. Mass was held in Victoria Monday morning and the remains brought here for burial. Smith was a former Denisonian, and a brother to R.A. (Bob) Smith, 1030 W. Johnson. He had lived in Victoria for the past six years. Smith was bornn in San Antonio November 23, 1910, and came to Denison at the age of three with his parents. He attended school here and worked in the pressroom of the Denison Herald. He later worked in the mechanical department of newspapers in Lufkin and Tyler, and went to Victoria five years ago to become mechanical superintendent of the Victoria Advocate. He was married in 1929 to Miss Irene Richards of Denison. He was a member of the Catholic church, Knights of Columbus, and the Lions Club of Victoria.  Lucille M.
