Martinez 12 July 1963 - 29 October 2008  Herald Democrat 31 October 2008 DENISON - Thomas Rolf Martinez, 45, of Denison passed away October 29, 2008 at his home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2008 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. John Dick officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the funeral home. Thomas was born on July 12, 1963 in Denison to Roy Garcia and Elanor Kuhn Martinez. He married Linda Haney on October 29, 1992 in Denison. Thomas was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and played the guitar since the early age of 4. He played in several bands and loved his grandchildren. He was known as T-Bone on the guitar. He also worked for J&J. Thomas is survived by his wife, Linda Martinez of Denison; four stepchildren, Monica Wirdzek and husband Todd of Foster City, Calif., Joseph O'Badiah Carl of Navasota, Larry C. Carl of Anna, and Reza Hoddjetjaddah of Dallas. Also surviving him is one brother, Joseph Martinez and wife Shelly of El Paso; half brothers, Roy Martinez Jr. and wife Debbie; John Martinez and wife Teresa, both of Denison; half-sisters, Shirley Reynolds and husband of Bells, Linda Neal and husband Dennis of Sherman and Mary Harrison and husband Kenneth Denison and six grandchildren, Monica Carl, Leslie Carl, Shelby Carl, Bailey Wirdzek, Natalie Wirdzek and Raymond Carl. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Brian Reynolds. Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard Street, Denison has charge of all arrangements.
