LITTLE LOUIS PASTORE AT REST
Beautiful and Impressive Ceremonies at the Church and Grave - Interment at Calvary Cemetery

The funeral of Louis Pastore, the only and beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. Rock Pastore, took place Monday morning at 9 o'clock a.m. at St. Patrick's church.  The services were conducted by Rev. Father Maginn.  The large church was filled with friends and mourners.
Little Louis was a very loveable, affectionate and beautiful child and those who knew him in life had come to pay the last respects in death.  Requiem mass was said.  Father Maginn, who is a very eloquent and impressive speaker, spoke words of comfort to the bereaved parents.  The church  service caused many an eye to moisten.
The death of this little boy was particularly sad.  The parents, William H. and Carrie...had left him here in the enjoyment of health, under the care of his grandparents, sisters and friends.  Mr. and Mrs. Pastore traveled throughout Italy and portions of Europe.  Letters and messages were sent, but as they made only a brief stay at places, they did not receive the announcement of their little boy's death.  Mr. Pastore received the first tiding at New York when he landed from the steamer.  He was afraid to break the news to his wife, hoping that the sad news would be held back until her arrival at home.  The mother learned of Louis' death on the train e-route to Denison.  She was prostrated and heart-broken.  It was her only boy and her happiness was wrapped up in him.  As long as life lasts the death of little Louis will be a sad memory to the heart-broken mother.  We cannot understand the mysterious workings of providence, but let this assurance console the parents that their child is now at rest in heaven, and their parting from him is not eternal and that the time will come when there will be a happy reunion in another world.
There never was a more beautiful floral display at any grave.  This tender, confiding and happy child in life was affectionately remembered in death - the casket being covered with flowers and the grave was like a flower bed.
The funeral procession was one of the largest ever witnessed in Denison, the parents having the sympathy of the entire community.  His death awakened tender regrets, and he left behind a memory as fragrant as the flowers which covered his grave.

LOUIS BOAREY DIES HERE EARLY TODAY
Louie M. Boarey, 75, who came to Denison from his native Italy as a boy and spent many years in the cafe business here, died at a local hospital today at 8 a.m.  He had been ill 5 months and in the hospital through that period.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Johnson-Moore in charge.
Boarey is remembered by older Denisonians first as co-owner for many years of the De Luxe Cafe, which adjoined the State National Bank on the west.
Boarey was born at Turin, Italy, May 15, 1886 and came to Denison 63 years ago.  He never married.
After retiring from the restaurant business he became a dining car steward for the Katy Railroad and served 10 years.
In 1950 Boarey revisited his homeland and made an extensive tour of Europe.
He was a nephew of the late Frank Pastore and made his home with that family at 223 West Gandy during all of his years in Denison.
Boarey was a pioneer pomoter locally of the March of Dimes to raise funds to fight infantile paralysis.  He served as chairman of the project here a dozen years or more.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church, the Knights of Columbus, the Elks Club, and the Eagles.  He had no relatives other than the Pastore family.
