SHERMAN - Fannie Mae Edwards, 81, passed away, Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Homestead of Sherman.
Funeral service were held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011, at St. James United Methodist Church in Sherman with Rev. Commie Linson, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Bethel Bells Cemetery in Bells.
Mrs. Edwards was born April 25, 1930 in Bells, Texas to York and Myrtle Goodman. She grew up in the Bethel community and went to Bethel Bells school, later moving to Sherman, where she met and married the late Paul Edwards on September 12, 1964. She worked for many years at Knight Furniture store. She was a longtime faithful member of the St. James United Methodist Church. She was loved by her family and friends and was very outgoing. She loved to talk to people and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Survivors are her daughters Dorothy Brewster of Sherman, Texas and Paula Bogar of Denison, Texas; sisters Hattie Knight, Cloria Sims and Evelyn Johnson, all of Sherman; grandchildren Victoria Whitfield (Jerry) and William Edwards, all Sherman; great-grandchildren Micheal Edwards of North Carolina, Zachary Whitfield of Denton, Texas; with a host of other relatives and friends.
