Services will be held at 3 p.m. at Dannel and Horton Chapel for Roy Lee Rolen, 75, retired employee of ConAgra, who died Saturday in a Sherman hospital.  Rev. Val Beard of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Denison will officiate.  Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
Born in Grayson County, he was the son of Samuel E. and Alice Kellough Rolen.  He attended Grayson County schools and was employed at ConAgra for for 31 years, retiring in 1971.  He was married to Ruby Mae Springfield June 25, 1933, in Durant, Oklahoma.
Mr. Rolen is survived by his wife; sons Don L. Rolen of Sherman and Kenneth C. Rolen of Greenville; daughter, Helen Jeffcoats of Sherman; brother, Roscoe Rolen of Leonard; sister, Edna Broughton of Sherman; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Reynolds, Jack Rolen, Homer Rolen, Rodney Orr, Todd Rolen, and Eddy Rolen.
The family will be at the funeral home from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday.  At other times they will be at the family residence, 609 E. Odneal.

Sherman - Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2004 at Bethany Cemetery, Sherman, Texas for Ruby Mae Rolen who passed away Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Hilltop Haven in Gunter, Texas at the age of 90 years.  Stuart Rising of the Worldwide Church of God officiating.  She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Rolen was born August 17, 1914 in Lamasco, Texas to Isom Beasley Springfield and Alice Iota Moody Springfield.  She married Roy Lee Rolen on June 25, 1933 in Durant, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on September 27, 1980.
Mrs. Rolen was owner/operator of a children's daycare out of her home where she kept eighteen children at one time.  Mrs. Rolen touched each of the lives of "her kids" leaving a lasting impression of love and life with each of them.  She retired in 1979 due to the declining health of her husband and her mother.
Mrs. Rolen is survived by two sons, Donald Lee Rolen and wife, Wanda of Sherman, Texas and Kenneth Charles Rolen and wife, Mickie of Greenville, Texas; one daughter, Helen Rose Jeffocats and husband, Kenneth of Sherman, Texas; five grandchildren, Donneita Orr and husband, Rodney of Greenfield, Indiana; Eddie Rolen of Sherman, Texas; Todd Rolen and wife, Tasha of Rockwall, Texas; Amy Smith of Greenville, Texas; Jennifer Tomlinson and husband, Sammy of Hendrix, Oklahoma; eight great-grandchildren, Tiffany Orr Skaggs and husband, Charlie of Southmayd, Texas; Brian Orr of Denton, Texas; Brent Orr of Greenfield, Indiana; Tyler Rolen of Arkansas; Alxa Rolen and Sydnee Rolen of Sherman, Texas and Dean Smith and Brooke Hancock of Greenville, Texas; two brothers, Joe Springfield of Boswell, Oklahoma and Thurman Springfield of Gainesville, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rolen was preceded in death by one son, Teddy Gene Rolen, her husband, her parents, four sisters, and two brothers.
Memorials may be made to Visiting Nursing Association, Sunridge  Plaza, 244 West University, Suite 200, McKinney, Texas 75071 or Alzheimer's Association of Greater Dallas, 7610 N. Stemmons Freeway, Suite 600, Dallas, Texas 75247-9952.
The family met at Dannel Funeral Home on Saturday prior to the graveside service.

Teddy Gene Rolen born and died December 12, 1936 in Sherman, Texas.  The infant son of Roy Lee and Ruby Mae Springfield Rolen.
He is buried in the Bethany Cemetery.
