  S.J.L. Pharr 1865 - 1915 Dallas Morning News 21 October 1915 MAN DROPS DEAD NEAR SHERMAN (Special to The News) Sherman, Texas, Oct. 20 - S. J. Pharr, 49 years of age, dropped dead six miles east of Sherman about 10 o'clock this morning. Mr. Pharr was a bachelor. He came to Grayson County from Georgia about twenty years ago and had since worked as a farm hand in the neighborhood where he died. He died on the farm of Fred Moran. He was somewhat eccentric, and today after his death nearly $100 was found in tin cans, tobacco sacks and old clothing hanging in a barn. He also had $500 on deposit at one of the banks here. His body is being held at a local undertaking establishment and an effort will be made to find his relatives.
