Emerson Dead A message from Bells received this afternoon gives the information that Mrs. S.E. Emerson, aged about 80 years, died there this morning at 3 o'clock, after a short illness with the grip. She was one of the pioneers of the county, having lived there for the past forty years or more. Her husband, who was a local Methodist minister, was postmaster of Bells for some time before his death, which occurred about fifteen years ago. Mrs. Emerson was the mother of D.E. Emerson, for many years a citizen of Sherman but now of Chickasha, Oklahoma. Besides this son, she is survived by another son, Will Emerson, of Bells - Wednesday's Sherman Democrat.
