Glidewell 1863 - 1941 The Bonham Daily Favorite Thursday, January 9, 1941 pg 2 Funeral Rites Held Wednesday for One-Time County Resident Bells - Funeral services were held Wednesday in Bells for Mrs. A.W. Glidwell, 77, who died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Troy Reynolds in Sugarland. Mrs. Glidwell was born in Kentucky on August 26, 1863. She came to Texas in 1896 following her marriage. For two years she lived in Fannin County. Mr. Glidwell died in 1937. They lived to celebrate their sixtieth wedding anniversary. Services were conducted from the Bells Methodist church with Rev. E.J. Hillfield officiating. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Reynolds; three sons, W.B. Glidwell of Bells, R.B. Glidwell of Truscott and C.A. Glidwell of Wichita Falls; a sister, 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
