J.J.
Reasor and family left Virginia in 1874, headed for this area
John Reasor built a new home on a farm he had purchased southeast
of Mt. Zion. Cass A. Reasor was born in that new house in 1890.
John and Amanda Reasor presented letters from the Deep Spring
Baptist Church of Lee County, Virginia to the Indian Creek Baptist
Church in 1878. Later, in 1887 John and Amanda were charter members of
the newly organized Mt. Zion Landmark Missionary Baptist Churcn No. 2.
