SHERMAN - Anthony Scott "Tony" Cain, 31 of Sherman, passed away early Monday morning, August 18, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center.
Graveside services were Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Akers Cemetery. Pastor Harvey Patterson of Luella First Baptist Church officiated and arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Tony was born June 20, 1977 in Sherman, the son of David Cain and Patricia MaHaffey Cain. He attended Howe schools and graduated from Howe High School. He had been employed as a supervisor for D & N Construction Co. in Sherman.
Tony had a tremendous passion for music, cooking, weight lifting, water sports and had a deep love for his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Pat Cain of Sherman; fiance, Hayley Jones of Celina; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah Cain and David White of Sherman; grandparents, John and Louise McHaffey of Luella; aunts and uncles, Donna and Jerry Jones and their daughter Tysie of Dorchester; Nancy and Marvin Graves and their daughter Macy of Luella; cousin and best friend, Jeremy Jones and his wife Amanda and their children Avery and Nathan of Sherman.  He is also survived by many friends whom he cherished and numerous other relatives, among whom are his lifelong friends Dustin King, Gary Allen King, Cory Bray and his beloved dog Cinnamon.
He was preceded in death by his father David Cain; grandparents C. A. and Lucille Cain.

Pallbearers were Dustin King, Hogan Jones, Kai Bray, Adam Davenport, John Roberts and Kevin Barnett. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Allen King and Cory Bray.



Patricia Ann Cain of Howe, Texas went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at  her home in Howe.
Patricia was born May 7, 1957 in Belleville, Illinois, daughter of John and Louise Davis MaHaffey.  She was a graduate of Tom Bean High School.  Patricia was a loving and caring person who never met a stranger.  She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, Joshua and Faith.  Patricia will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by daughter, Sarah Singer, of Howe, Texas and fiance' Kerry Davis; grandchildren, Joshua and Faith Singer; sister, Donna Jones and husband, Jerry, of Dorchester, Texas; niece, Tysie Jones and nephew, Jeremy Jones; sister Nancy Graves of Tom Bean, Texas; and niece, Macy Graves; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tony Cain; and husband, David Cain.
A memorial graveside service was held Tuesday morning, June 27, 2023 at Akers Cemetery in Sherman, Texas, with Otis McClain officiating.
