Robert Ted Bearden, 86, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019.  He had been in a skilled nursing facility several months.
Ted was born on Tuesday, February 21, 1933, son of Oran M. Bearden and Deva M. Lewter Bearden.
His surviving loved ones are his wife, Johnnie Puckett Bearden; son, Erik Jason Bearden and wife, Lisa; granddaughter, Tedi Jade Bearden; sister, Melba Bearden Ballou and husband, Stanley, of Denison; and several nieces and cousins; brother-in-law, Gerald Lynn Puckett and wife, Wanda, of Woodinville, Washington.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, April Lyn Bearden; and in-laws, Benjamin Puckett and Beatrice Beard Puckett.
Ted served in the Navy during the Korean War in the 1950s.  His profession was a Draftsman and Electrical Engineer, having worked for Chance Voght Aircraft, Century Electric Motor Co., Finley Engineering, and he retired from Magnetek Motors.

Ted, with sadness we let you go,
But happy we know you are with your maker, Lord Jesus Christ.
As you always told, us, you sleep tight.
We're going to miss your telling us you will be praying for us.
As Gerald said, "Goodnight, Sailor"

A graveside service was held at 1:00 p.m. on April 18, 2019 at Akers Cemetery, in Sherman, Texas



Johnnie Nell Bearden, 82, of Sherman, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at TMC, Denison.
A graveside service was held Monday afternoon, January 18, 2021 at Akers Cemetery in Sherman.  Pastor Leland Samuelson officiated.
Johnnie was born in Sherman, daughter of Ben and Beatrice Puckett.  She was raised in Sherman and attended Sherman schools, graduating from Sherman High School in 1956.  She met and eventually married Robert Ted Bearden. He remarked when he first saw Johnnie, "I'm am going to marry her."  They enjoyed 63 years of marriage together.
Johnnie loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved nature and arts & crafts but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior with whom she is reunited, along with her family and husband, Ted.  She will be greatly missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and daughter, April Bearden.
She is survived by her son, Erik Bearden and wife, Lisa, of Sherman; brother, Gerald Puckett of Sherman; granddaughter, Tedi Bearden; and great-grandchildren, Zoey and Thoe.
