Sherman, Texas - Wanda Beauchamp, 72, of Sherman, Texas passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center in Sherman.
She was born November 17, 1944 in Palestine, Texas, daughter of Roland Fletcher & May Cosslett.  She married Odell Beauchamp February 24, 1961 at her parents' home in Palestine, Texas.
Wanda was a faithful Sunday School teacher for more than 40 years and a member of First Baptist Church in Dorchester for the last 14 years.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years; daughters, Meleah Brown of Whitewright and Misty McKinney of Roundrock; seven grandchildren: Amanda Johnson of Sherman; Mindy Valdez of Whitewright; Chad Brown of Whitewright; Marcus Valdez of Denison; Katie Alford of Whitewright; Ken Stone of Whitewright; Kayla Flores of Roundrock; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Melissa Berglund of Denison.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 3 at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Flethcer officiating.  Burial followed at Akers Cemerery, Sherman.



Odell Beauchamp, 83, of Whitewright, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.  He was born September 12, 1938, son of Otto and Hilda Hodges Beauchamp.  Odell married Wanda on February 24, 1961 at the home of Roland and May Fletcher of Palestine, Texas.  Odell was a faithful deacon for more than 40 years.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, Dorchester, for the last 18 years.   Odell worked for the telephone company  for 48 years and loved both watching and coaching  his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids in sports and in life.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Meleah Brown of Whitewright, Texas; and Misty McKinney of Roundrock, Texas; 7 grandchildren: Amanda Johnson of Denison, Texas; Mindy Valdez of Whitewright, Texas; Chad Brown of Whitewright, Texas; Marcus Valdez of Denison, Texas; Katie Baker of Whitewright, Texas; Keri Slone of Whitewright, Texas; and Kayla Flores of Georgetown, Texas.  He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, many extended family and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife; and daughter, Melissa Berglund of Denison.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, October 8, 2021 at Scoggins Funeral Home with Pastor Zack Poling officiating.  Burial followed at Akers Cemetery in Sherman, Texas.  Arrangements were under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home, Van Alstyne, Texas. - - - Scoggins Funeral Home
