Calera - Funeral services for Terry Wayne Cripe were held Friday afternoon, January 11, 2019 at Harvest Time Assembly of God.  Rev. Tresten Ledford and Pastor Adam Cantrell officiated.  Private commital services followed at Akers Cemetery with Aaron Cripe, Terry Miller, Dominie Cripe. Robert R. Cripe, Earl Cripe, Chase Monday, and Ronnie Cripe serving as pallbearers.  Mr. Cripe, 57, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Texoma Medical Center.
Terry was born April 4, 1961 in Sherman, son of Earl and Omie Hess Cripe.  On March 14, 1987 he and Betty Scallorn were married in Sherman.  Terry worked as a pastor for several churches from 1995 - 2017 when his declining health forces his retirement.  He enjoyed collecting guns, hunting, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Cripe was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by hs wife, Betty, of Calera; 5 children, Terry Lynn Miller and wife, Courtney, of Sherman; Brandy Ledford and husband, Tresten, of Durant, Oklahoma; Robert Cripe and wife, Chastina, of Denison; Aaron Cripe of Ft. Lee, Virginia; and Stacey Cripe of Calera; 8 grandchildren and another on the way; 5 siblings, Earl Cripe of Howe, Texas; Ronnie Cripe of Sherman; Robert Cripe of Sherman; Brenda Greenfield of Little Elm; and Jimmy Cripe of Sherman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
