Mose Lewis, 85 years of age, one of the pioneers of North Texas, died at the home of his son, E.C. Lewis, four and a half miles south of Sherman, yesterday afternoon at 6 o'clock, from the infirmities of old age.  Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial was in Akers cemetery.
Mr. Lewis is survived by two sons, E.C. Lewis and R.A. Lewis.  The former resides on the Farlow farm south of the city and the latter is a resident of Sherman, living on South Montgomery street.
Deceased was a native of Georgia and served through the civil war on the southern side.
The family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their bereavement.
