Services were held for Opal Daisy Foster of Sherman, formerly of Howe, Saturday in the Dannel Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman.  Interment followed in the Akers Cemetery in Sherman.  Rev. Thomas Beall and Rev. Billy Hackler of Crutchfield Heights Baptist Church officiated the ceremony.
Foster died March 7 at the Wilson N. Jones Medical Center at the age of 87.  She was born November 23, 1914 in Howe to V.W. Melton and Neva Rush Jay.  She graduated from Howe High School and married William T. Foster on March 6, 1934 in Tishamingo, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on June 10, 1998.  They spent their years farming and raising cattle and they sold milk to the Meadowlake Dairy.
Surviving Mrs. Foster are her two half-brothers, Cashman Frampton and his wife, Velma, of Howe; and Bennie Frampton of Valdasta, Georgia; nephew, Ronald Melton and wife, Alice Faye, of Sadler; and a cousin, Frances Mullins of Sherman.
Pallbearers were James Melton, Jim Jones, Morris Peregrine, Leon Thornhill, Royce Melton and Michael Ray Frampton.
Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman was in charge of the arrangements.
