  Wayne Scott 1908 - 1973 Lena Scott 1909 - 1979 The Howe Enterprise Thursday, July 26, 1973 pg.6 RITES WEDNESDAY FOR T.W. SCOTT Services were held Wednesday at the Dorchester Baptist Church for T. Wayne Scott, 65, of Dorchester, who died Monday at a Sherman nursing home. Services were conducted by Rev. Bobby Layman, Baptist minister of Greenville, Rev. Bill Robinson of Dorchester Baptist Church and Rev. Birdie Jones of Tom Bean First Baptist Church. Burial was in Akers Cemetery. Mr. Scott was born in Sherman, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Scott. He was married to the former Lena Bennett on January 13, 1934 at Sherman and had lived in the county all of his life. He was a carpenter, retiring in 1969. He was a member of the Dorchester Baptist Church. Survivors are his widow; son, Bobby Scott, of Rt. 1, Dorchester; daughter, Mrs. Jo Ann Vincent of Rt. 2, Sherman; brothers, Frank Scott of Dorchester; Oren Scott of Sherman; half-brother, Troy Waits of El Paso; sisters, Mrs. Hazel Knox and Mrs. Eula B. Roberts, both of Sherman; Mrs. Lois Hall of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and 3 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill Vincent, Cody Shaw, Bill Rice, Edwin Goff, Sidney Gentry and J.P. Norman.
