will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Waldo Funeral Chapel for Jamie
LeRoy Thomas, 5, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Karr, of 710 Holiday.
The child died of leukemia Saturday at a Sherman hospital.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Glen Reaves of the Whitesboro Methodist Church, with burial at Akers Cemetery. Jamie was born at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., son of Duana Rowe Thomas Karr and the late Gary LeRoy Thomas. He had suffered from Leukemia for the past three years and had been a Sherman resident for the past two years. Survivors are his parents; brother, David Thomas; sister, Michele Thomas; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Rowe of Lynngrove, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tonnemacher of Sherman, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Thomas of Phoenix, great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Don V. Palmer of Alvin and Mr. and Mrs. Delmaer McCollum of Sherman. The family has requested that memorials be made to the donor?s favorite charities. A fund has been established at the M&P Bank in Sherman to help defray medical and burial costs. Contributions also may be made to Hazel Horn at CIC Finance Co. which has also established a fund to help pay medical and burial costs.
