Funeral services for Lynda Diane Dove Smith, age 60, of Sherman, Texas were held Monday morning, September 28, 2009 at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Stan McNutt of the Liberty Lighthouse Church officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
Lynda passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at her residence in Sherman.
She was born on August 4, 1949, in Corsicana, Texas, daughter of L. G. and Wilma Ragsdale Dove. Lynda loved helping people.
She donated time and more to the Disabled Veterans Association, neighbors and anyone who needed her. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Lynda is survived by her son, Steve Bunger and wife, Annie, of Prosper, Texas; daughter, Stephanie Blake and husband, John, of Sherman, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Braden W. Bunger, Josiah E. Blake, Jude A. Blake and Jossalyn D. Blake; brother, Leland Dove and wife, Nancy, of Bedford, Texas. She is also survived by her lifelong friend Terry Starkey of Sherman, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Robert Andrew Smith.
