Howe - Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Howe Methodist Church for Mrs.J.M. Enloe, 85, of Howe, route 1, who died Saturday at 4:45 a.m. in a Sherman hospital.  Rev.. Maxie Burch, pastor, conducted the services, assisted by Rev. C.J. Graves, pastor of Friendship church and Rev. Roy Cloudt, Howe Baptist minister.  Pallbearers were Clyde King, Clark Bowden, Truett Holloway, Murry Aiken, Paul Shields, and Truett Davenport.  Burial was in Akers Cemetery, directed by Waldo Funeral Home of Sherman.
Mrs. Enloe was born in Butler County, Kentucky, November 28, 1872, a daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth Caughy.  On November 17, 1889 she married J.M. Enloe.  Mrs. Enloe came to Grayson County 76 years ago with her parents who settled near Van Alstyne, later moving to southwest of Sherman.  After their marriage  Mr. and Mrs. Enloe moved to Howe.  She was a charter member and the oldest member of Howe Methodist Church.
Survivors are 3 sons, Wade F. Enloe of Howe; Walter C. Enloe of Sherman, and Vernon S. Enloe of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Pat Tillman of Howe; a sister, Mrs. Martha P. Goff of Sherman; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
