ERNEST COLE DIES OF INJURIES
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Akers chapel for Ernest Henry Cole, 33, acetylene track welder for the Frisco railroad, who died Sunday afternoon at a Sherman hospital.
Mr. Cole had been working in Ft. Worth for the Frisco and was on a Katy passenger train enroute home.  The train was late and it took a siding at Hagerman.  Mr. Cole was found later alongside the railroad tracks with the left side of his chest crushed and several body bruises.  He was brought to the hospital about 4:45 a.m. Sunday.
Rev. Claude Johnston, pastor of the North Park Baptist Church of Sherman, officiated.  Burial was in Akers cemetery.
Mr. Cole was born June 6, 1907 in Falkner, Mississippi, a son of Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Cole.  The family came to Texas in 1912 and he was graduated from the Howe school.  He was married August 19, 1926 to Miss Jessie Reed.  He had been an employe of the Frisco since 1928.
Surviving are his parents; his wife; 3 children, Ernestine, Betty Jo, and Jackie Cole, all of the home; 3 brothers, Nathaniel, Ruben and Leland Cole, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Elo Snyder and Mrs. Reno Snyder of Howe.
