Patsy Byler Bray, 62, passed away at Texas Health Presbyterian- WNJ on May 2, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013, at Grayson Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Roy Webster of Grayson Bible Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Akers Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Terry Matthews, Charlie Welch, James Trammel, John Dick, Jerry Rawlins and Billy Miller. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Richardson and Ron Engleke.
The family will receive visitors at the church one hour prior to the service time.
Patsy was born on October 17, 1950 in Sherman to B.J. and Mary Dickson Byler. Patsy graduated from Sherman High school in 1969 and attended Missionary Baptist Seminary in Henderson. She married Dan Bray on July 23, 1983 at Grayson Bible Baptist Church in Sherman.
Patsy's working career included customer service positions with Grayson County in the Auto Registration Dept. and at Cable One. She loved her church family at Grayson Bible Baptist Church as well as Victory Baptist Church and was very involved, singing solos, singing quartets and singing in the church choir. Patsy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents B. J and Mary Byler, Brother Jerry Byler and grandchild Mandy Cox.
She is survived by her husband of Sherman, Dan Bray; sons, Steve Bray and wife Cindy of Durant, Okla., Rusty Bray and wife Melissa of Ft. Worth; daughters, Shelly Bray of Granbury, Kristi Shamasko and husband David of Sherman, Kara Moran and husband Greg of Sherman; grandchildren, Blake Bray, Morgan Shamasko, Ashton Brown, Alex Bray, Cora Bray, Austin Bray, Bailey Brown, David Shamasko, Jack Patton, Chandler Brown, Hank Patton, Caitlyn Moran, Timothy Bray, Priscilla Bray, Angie Bray, Kabrisha Bray; one great- grandchild, Azaria Dube; one sister, Ann Vaught and husband Edward of Sherman; nephew, Jerry Byler and wife Kelly of Longview; nieces, Jennifer Monk of Tom Bean, Leanna Bullins and husband Tom of Sherman.
Donations may be made to Grayson Bible Baptist Church in Patsy's name to help with funeral expenses.
