FUNERAL SERVICE conducted for Sharron [sic] Robertson
Funeral services were conducted Friday, February 19, at the First Baptist Church for Sharron Robertson.  She was the 14 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshal Robertson.  She was a 9th grade student at Howe High School.
Survivors besides her parents are a brother, Tommy; 2 aunts, Miss Viola Pelley and Miss Mae Pelley; and an uncle, Monk Pelley, all of Route 4, Sherman - besides other aunts and uncles.
The funeral was conducted by Claude Cone, pastor of the church; Ralph Burke, pastor of the First Methodist Church and Roy Couldt, former pastor of the church and now pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Denison.  The High School Choral Club under the direction of Mrs. Frances Long sang "Whispering Hope: and "Beyond the Sunset."  Boys of the Freshman Class served as pallbearers  The class sat together as a group during the service.  All classes at Howe High School were dismissed for the funeral, and the bank and most of the businesses were closed.
Sharron was laid to rest in Akers Cemetery.

Our hearts are filled with deep appreciation for all who expressed their love and sympathy in so many ways during the illness and death of our loved one.
To our friends and neighbors for food, flowers and many other kindnesses, and to the ministers for their words of comfort, we say, thank you.  May God bless each of you.
