Services for Admiral Dewey Walker, 77, of 612 N. Walnut St., were held Friday afternoon in the Waldo Funeral Chapel. He died Wednesday at a Sherman hospital. Marvin Walker, Church of Christ Minister of Dallas, officiated, with burial at Akers Cemetery in Sherman. Mr. Walker was born at Van Alstyne, son of the late Mahlon and Elizabeth Walker and was married to Lovie Decker on July 12, 1958. He was a retired farmer, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Southside Church of Christ of Bonham.
Survivors are his wife; sons, Dewey W. Walker of Richardson;
Bobby J. Walker of Howe; and Gene K. Walker of Oklahoma City; stepson, W.L. Decker of Sherman; sister, Mrs. Pearl Woods of Bonham; 7 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.
Nephews of Mr. Walker will serve as pallbearers.
