October 3, 1974 pg. 8 Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 25 at the Horton-Barrett Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Frank Arnold, 79, who died Tuesday Sept. 24 in a Sherman nursing home following a long illness. Bill Wiley, minister of the Wood Street Church of Christ officiated. Burial was in Akers Cemetery south of Sherman. Mrs. Arnold was born in Van Alstyne, and had spent her entire life in this area. She is survived by her husband; and a son Frank Arnold Jr.; and step-sons Ed Arnold to Tacoma, Washington; Walter Arnold of Oklahoma City; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
